okay, so friday's dinner was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!~
we went to two diff restuarants in one night! and spent more then 350$

first place was i think HonJi Restuarant,

Sashimi 'Platter' $45
yes, its really 45, li8ke one piece is 5 bucks?! but iits was really freshhh.
___ Bento, i forget the name... $45 too
was really crappy you know.
all its sashimi was so low standard, only the Cod fish was good.
deciding that the food really sucked, we left.
we also ordered other stuff, like a California Temaki, Sakae, Teapot soup.
and that meal cost a whopping 187+$

so we went to another restaurant, whose name i dont remember:(
but its at the 7 avenue there. i WILL be going there again sometime soon, so dont worry~

Appetizer, i think its free, cos everyone got it.
its a warm, squid-tomato dish, rather pleasant.
Sashimi salad that mom ordered, see the white bits? its really nice, like scallop like that, me likes~
Bamboo Shoots, mom ordered as well, i dont like, its tasted bad :S
the dish that saved Uncle A's night, from me and mom's unhappiness,
California Maki- $25
i've had this fetish for California maki/temaki from i dont know when,
whenever i go a jap place, i WILL take some of it, or order it.
and this, was the best i've ever had!!!
see how thin the rice is? some places give you very little filling, and LOADS of rice, which i dont like, but this was very good.
and the avocado was very ripe, i dont like how some places' avocado not ripe, i like it to cream out when i bit into it, as though it was mayonaisse.
and they twisted how to do a little, instead of coating with the roe, they put on top, i thought it was clever, cos then non will be wasted on the plate, and it also show how generous they are.
they also put some of the japenese barbeque sauce on the bottom, very different from other places, but i rather nice touch i must say.
but they winning difference is that they scattered the fried tempura flour over it, which added a very unique crunch to everything.
I LOVED IT!

those, with again, sakae, and some chicken wing thing uncle A ordered,
and this claypot SeaBream on rice-35$,
and my greentea red bean ice-cream that was good as well, they had a scoup of the ice-cream, and some mushed up cooked red bean on top, a very nice touch at it balances the whole thing out.
the second dinner costs another 175+$
wow la, three ppl only leh.
this was suppose to be a dinner before i enter poly, from uncle A, but duh thats just an excuse to eat with me, lol.
we'll be going again when mom returns from Tibet! cant wait, California, here i come!
oh, and i dint mention how friendly the chefs were!
they would go around and converse with you, and you could see how much they were like from how they got like 3 glasses of wine from three diff custormers in the sort 1+ hour we were there.
one of them actually tried to come a friend-friend with us, but we were all so engrossed with the menu at that time, we ignore him, haha-.-
